We are excited to unveil a new promotion as part of our grassroots funding campaign - all donors contributing $50 or more through our donate page online will receive a copy of Edible City on DVD once it’s complete! We’ve also just uploaded rough two segments from the film, one about nutritionist Joy Moore and the other profiling urban farmer Jim Montgomery - these can be viewed on our donate page as well. Please help us spread the word, and tell your friends!

We have a number of new videos to check out! Our new trailer can be seen at the top right of the homepage; on our videos page, check out an interview with Roots of Change President Michael Dimock and a new short vignette profiling Oakland urban farmer and retiree Manuel Arrias. Check back frequently for more! Upcoming interviews will include Three Stone Hearth co-founder Jessica Prentice, and Preston Maring, Associate Physician-in-Chief at Kaiser Oakland and strong proponent of farmers’ markets and of food as preventive health care.

My farm

My Farm is a decentralized urban farm which grows vegetables in backyard gardens throughout the city of San Francisco. Check out EBPI’s short piece - on the videos page - that follows the My Farm crew through a day-long installation.

September 21st is Community Harvest Day at the SF Civic Center Victory Garden. Volunteers will reap the fruits of their labor and distribute the yield to local food banks.
